1. We're off again- want to join us?

Hello everyone.
Paul and I are off to Europe again and I'm hoping that I'll be able to write a few posts while we are away.
You may remember that in 2017 my posts stopped abruptly without explanation.  In fact I was very ill with the complications of two infected teeth and just couldn't face writing.  So I'm hoping to do better this time.
If you'd like to keep getting this blog, you will need to follow the directions below.

This will be our last big road trip in Europe.
We are starting in Rome and travelling through Sicily and Puglia, before getting on the ferry to Greece to visit the three big islands of Crete, Lesvos and Chios before ferrying back to Italy.
Things get a bit vague at this point ,but essentially we'll be heading north via a few nice Italian restaurants, then across the Alps to Germany and hooking up to the Romantic Road, which is the area called Bavaria with many mediaeval villages and fairytale castles.
Heading northwest we'll only go as far north as Amsterdam and then turn south and loop through Belgium and back into Germany towards the Nurburgring grand prix track where Paul will have a little drive before heading to the Porsche factory in Stuttgart.  Leaving petrol-head heaven behind (and I hope I'll be able to tell you it was electric car heaven as well) we'll turn south and meander through some grape vines in Alsace before crossing Switzerland, passing through the Lakes district of Italy, and reaching the French Mediterranean again for the last of the summer warmth.
We'll have a week in a little French fishing port before turning north for the final time staying in Menerbes, Provence, amidst the vines in Sablet, Cote de Rhone and a finally in Charentay, Beaujolais country.
We're thinking this will be about 25,000 kilometres - hence, our last big road trip.
After returning our Citroen C4 Cactus, we'll relish a final 3 weeks in the City of Light before returning to Oz at the end of October.

So if you'd like to travel with us through any of these places here's what to do - to keep receiving this blog I need you to subscribe your email address in the box on the top right side of the blog where it says "Follow by email" - just above my photo in the red trousers.  You can unsubscribe at any time.

Please let me know if you have any problems - there are always a few bugs to begin with.

That's the Imperial Forum at the end of our little street in Monti, one of the original seven hills of Rome.
